Plastic pollution in the oceans is one of the biggest environmental concerns of our lifetime and is set to triple over the next decade, unless prompt action is taken. We see it as our obligation to act and want to lead the way in our industry by playing a key role in cleaning the world’s oceans and rivers.
The purpose of OWP is to clean our oceans and therefore, the purchase of OWP-labelled packaging results in the removal of the exact same amount of plastic from the ocean and rivers.
OWP is a combination of many great things:
Removal of plastic from the oceans and rivers 1:1
Packaging made in REACH-compliant PCR materials to reduce and/or eliminate the need for virgin plastic
Recycling of as much as possible of the collected plastic for other industries
A positive social impact for locals working with OWP in Indonesia
While we underline that there is no plastic from the oceans and rivers in our current packaging, we seek to include as much of this as possible in our future packaging.
Through OWP we create, design and manufacture packaging in recycled materials (land-based PCR) that in return removes the exact same amount of plastic from the ocean and rivers.
